Cookies Policy
Last updated: May 25, 2026
This page explains how the DrewVee Media website uses cookies and similar technologies, what each category does, and how you can manage or disable them. For the broader context of how we handle personal information, see our Privacy Policy.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website you visit. It lets the site recognize your device and remember information about your visit (for example, display preferences or whether you've seen a particular message). Cookies can be session cookies, which expire when you close the browser, or persistent cookies, which remain on your device until they expire or you delete them.
The cookies we use do not, on their own, contain information that personally identifies you. We do not store sensitive information such as passwords or payment details in cookies.
The cookies this site uses
Essential cookies
These cookies are required for the site to work. They handle core functionality like serving pages, routing between pages, and preventing abuse of forms. The site will not function properly without them.
- Type: session
- Set by: us (first-party)
- Purpose: site operation, form submission, abuse prevention
Functional cookies
These cookies remember lightweight preferences so the site feels continuous between visits. For example, we use a session-level flag to remember that you've already seen the loading animation in the current tab so it doesn't replay on every page navigation.
- Type: session
- Set by: us (first-party)
- Purpose: remember page-navigation state within a session
Analytics cookies (optional)
When you accept analytics in the consent banner, we load Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies to help us understand how the site is used (page views, traffic sources, rough device and location information). If you decline, these cookies are not set and the analytics script does not load.
- Type: persistent (up to 2 years)
- Set by: Google Analytics (third-party)
- Cookies:
_ga,_ga_<ID> - Purpose: aggregate analytics, traffic sources, custom event tracking, and the Google advertising and remarketing features described below
Advertising and remarketing cookies (optional, via Google Analytics)
With analytics consent enabled, our Google Analytics 4 configuration also activates Google's advertising features, including Google Signals, demographic and interest reporting, and remarketing audiences. When you are signed in to a Google account that has Ads Personalization enabled, Google may associate your visits to our site with your Google account for cross-device measurement and to allow us to reach previous visitors with relevant messaging on Google properties and the Google Display Network. We do not currently run paid ad campaigns, but the data may be collected to enable future campaigns.
- Type: persistent (up to 2 years)
- Set by: Google (third-party)
- Cookies:
_gcl_au,_gac_<ID>, plus identifiers Google sets on its own domains - Purpose: demographic and interest measurement, cross-device tracking, audience-building for remarketing
You can disable Google's ad-personalization signals at any time at adssettings.google.com without affecting your analytics consent on this site, or decline analytics altogether through our cookie banner to prevent both categories from loading.
Privacy-friendly site analytics
We also use Vercel Web Analytics to track basic page views and Core Web Vitals. Vercel Analytics does not use cookies and does not identify individual visitors — it sends a small anonymous beacon per page view using hashed, non-personal data.
Your consent
Whether analytics is loaded automatically on your first visit depends on where you are visiting from. We tailor the default to local privacy law:
- European Union, EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland— analytics is OFF by default. We show a consent banner on your first visit and load Google Analytics 4 only after you click Accept.
- Brazil and Canada— analytics loads on your first visit. We show a notice banner so you can opt out immediately if you prefer; declining stops all analytics loading on subsequent visits.
- Everywhere else (including the United States)— analytics loads on your first visit. You can opt out at any time using the Cookie Preferencesoption in the footer; declining stops all analytics loading on subsequent visits.
You can change your consent at any time by opening the Cookie Preferences option in the footer of any page. Declining removes the analytics cookies on your next visit and prevents them from loading going forward. Your choice is remembered for one year in a small first-party cookie called dv-consent. We also store the resolved region tier in a short-lived first-party cookie called dv-region (one hour) so the consent UI knows which default to apply; this cookie contains only the tier (“strict”, “optout”, or “relaxed”) and not your country, IP, or any other identifier.
Global Privacy Control
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal. When your browser sends GPC (for example, if you use Brave, DuckDuckGo, or Firefox with the GPC setting enabled, or you have a GPC extension installed), we treat that as an opt-out request and do not load Google Analytics 4 or any of its advertising features. No consent banner is shown either, because your browser has already answered the question. If you later want to enable analytics, the Cookie Preferences option in the footer lets you grant consent explicitly, which overrides the GPC signal for this site.
Third-party embeds
Portfolio videos are embedded from YouTube. When you view a page that includes a YouTube embed, YouTube (Google) may set its own cookies on your device. We do not control those cookies. For details, see Google's cookie policy.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use cookies for advertising or remarketing outside the optional Google Analytics features described above. If you decline analytics in our cookie banner, no advertising or remarketing cookies are set.
Managing cookies
You can choose to accept or refuse cookies through your browser. If you disable cookies you may still use the site, but some features may not work as expected.
